Funtastic Donuts is a Donut Shop founded in 2015 by a dedicated and passionate couple. The brand was created thinking about the union of fantastic elements (mainly related to geek culture, pulps, unique characters, fantasy stories and other references), rock'n'roll and a welcoming and vibrant environment that exudes fun from every pore.
I was invited to develop a unique visual identity that embraced this whole melting pot of ideas.

Funtastic Donuts é uma Donut Shop fundada em 2015 por um casal dedicado e apaixonado pelo que faz. A marca foi idealizada pensando na união de rock’n’roll, elementos fantásticos (principalmente relacionados a cultura geek, pulps, personagens únicos, histórias de fantasia e outras referências) e um ambiente acolhedor e vibrante que exalasse diversão por todos os poros.
Fui solicitado para desenvolver uma identidade visual única que abraçasse todo esse caldeirão de ideias.
The store's flagship is focused on 4 different types of Donuts. The idea was to develop packages in which each one of them had a character representing that specific flavor in a thematic way, therefore, they will be designed through the characteristics of donut flavors.
The 4 flavors are:

O carro chefe da loja é focado em 4 tipos diferentes de Donuts. Essa limitação de sabores permitiu com que construíssemos embalagens individuais para o respectivo donut escolhido pelo consumidor. A ideia aqui era desenvolver embalagens em que em cada uma delas houvesse um personagem representando aquele sabor específico de forma temática, portanto eles seriam concebidos através de características dos sabores de donuts.
Os 4 sabores são:
Dark Crunch: Chocolate donut with touches of Nutella and almonds. Character created representing the love of the couple of owners for Rock’N’Roll and Metal and alludes to the flavor by the dark touch.

Dark Crunch: Donut de chocolate com toques de Nutella e amêndoas. A personagem criada representa o amor do casal de proprietários por Rock’N’Roll e Metal e faz alusão ao sabor pelo toque dark.
Jelly Belly: Donut stuffed with strawberry jam. The character created is a zombie that alludes to the flavor by the strawberry filling that drips from the Donut as well as the blood of a victim of a zombie attack.

Jelly Belly: Donut recheado com geléia de morango. O personagem criado é um zumbi que faz alusão ao sabor pelo recheio de morango que escorre do Donut assim como o sangue de uma vítima de um ataque zumbi.
White Iced: White chocolate donut with a special sprinkle. Character created was an Ice Queen that alludes to the flavor by the white topping of the candy.

White Iced: Donut de chocolate branco com um granulado especial. A personagem criada foi uma rainha do gelo que faz alusão ao sabor pela cobertura branca do doce.
Belle Époque: Donut with a classic flavor. The character represents the classic period of the Bélle Époque with the use of a hat and costumes from that period.

Belle Époque: Donut de sabor clássico. O personagem representa a época clássica da Bélle Époque com uso de chapéu e vestes da época.
