As a society, we continually stress the importance of eating healthy and the large role that fruits and vegetables play in a nutritious diet. Much of our produce, however, travels thousands of miles from field to fork. It is often picked before it's fully ripened to ensure safe transportation, but with each day that passes post-harvest more nutritional value is lost. Eating seasonal, locally available produce is the most effective way to ensure maximum taste and quality. These posters were created for the American Dietetic Association to metaphorically communicate the miles conventional produce typically travels.
