The Animal Rescue League (ARL) is the biggest non-profit animal shelter, caring for thousands of animals each year. Through its services, which include pet adoption, humane education, pet behavior training, spay/neuter, animal abuse intervention, and more, the ARL helps people and dogs throughout Iowa. The ARL receives no funds from the federal government, state, or United Way.
