Millennials, born between 1981 and 1996, are increasingly becoming major employees in the workplace. In fact, Pew Research Center predicts that 75 percent of the workforce worldwide will consist of millennials by 2025. Here are just some things that this group seeks when evaluating different job opportunities:

1. Good culture fit

Every business has a workplace culture, and millennials pay close attention to this culture and how it complements their personality. They often prefer workplace cultures that instill a sense of community and collaboration. Transparency is also a key element of desirable cultures, as is inclusivity.

2. Flexibility

As millennials work, they prefer focusing on where or how a task is completed. For this reason, they are drawn more to employment opportunities that give them the flexibility to work at home or other locations. Opportunities that offer flexible work schedules that let millennials change their shifts more easily are also of interest.

3. Perks

The preference for a workplace with extra perks is seen in most generations, but millennials, in particular, evaluate their options based on this. Unlimited vacation policies or free lunches are just some examples of desirable perks. These help millennials feel appreciated and leaves them feeling more motivated to put in extra work for a business.
