Brief: Create an illustrated mural depicting landmarks from around the Tees Valley area, making sure to include something from all 5 constituent boroughs (from left to right: Hartlepool, Middlesbrough, Darlington, Stockton-on-Tees and Redcar & Cleveland).

My goal was to create a bright and attractive wall piece that really shows off the region to visitors and potential investors alike. There are nods to Teesside's famous maritime and railway heritage, while symbols of the area's industrial identity jostle for space with its vibrant arts culture and modern architecture. The mighty river Tees winds out from underneath the iconic transporter bridge, and far above the landscape an aeroplane rises from this very airport, carrying locals off on their adventures and connecting this lively and proud region to the rest of the world.
