Vye is a strategy card game played by 2-5 players. The goal of the game is to have the largest connected kingdom when the game ends. You grow your kingdom by placing cards on the game board, claiming the cards you place, and potentially capturing others around them in the process. The game is easy to learn and can be played in about 20 minutes, depending on the number of cards you want to include during setup.
Vye contains 110 cards (64 Land cards, 20 Family cards, 25 Special cards, and
1 Inevitable Empress), 150 Family tokens (30 of each color, in Blue, Red, Green, Yellow, and Magenta), and 6 Undead tokens (Bone).
The first edition of Vye was successfully funded via Kickstarter in September 2014, reaching its goal in just 19 hours. It closed its campaign at over $63,000.00, exceeding its goal by over 700%. It shipped on May 30, 2015.
The second edition of Vye was released in 2016 and, to date, Vye has sold over 5,000 copies.
The third edition of Vye will be released in the fall of 2021. This set features updated art, a larger box, and cardboard tokens.
