I’m a game designer working with the amazing team at the Center for Games and Impact at Arizona State University. I create game-infused experiences for learning environments and foster play and narrative as methods to transform curriculum.

In my spare time, I design 'small-batch' tabletop role-playing, card and board games. I am a partner of a small game publishing company founded in 2004. Over the past ten years, that company, Sixteen Coal Black Horses, has enjoyed modest success with its flagship product, BattleAxe RPG. Since the formation of Sixteen Coal Black Horses, I have designed and self published six product lines and nearly twenty game products. In addition to designing and producing these games, I have illustrated several of them.

Following the closing of Paragon in 2012, I, along with two good friends, founded Sand Hat Games. In September 2014, we successfully funded the publication of our first game, Vye, through our Kickstarter campaign managing to hit our funding goal in just 19 hours and closing the campaign at over 700% our initial funding goal.

Although my core skill-set is game design and implementation, I have developed a wide range of skills throughout my 10 years of professional game design experience including, system design, narrative design, world design and building, illustration, creative team management, and production management.
