Love is blindness

Good stuff: Love is blindness.

This is a totally free work I did based on Jack Withe's song of the same name (version of a song by U2) I really want to experiment and have fun with this project, rather than seeking the perfect work, we have come to play.
This song has a special effect on me, and still does, I decided to create a project with a subject as difficult as is Love. Maybe the song tells a different story, but I have a very peculiar way to understand it.
Love is blind. They say that like when you are in lover and your partner is perfect. In your eyes, there is no defect or anything bad. I wanted to continue this reflection, adding that blind love is the most painful love. It is that love that will not let you see what you have in front of you, and it starts to kill your inside from the first minute. It can hurt, it can destroy you, but you do not care: you've found love.

Phase 1: First ideas and sketches.
I want to talk about love. Love is pure, is natural, is drawn by hand. No computer. I see hard colors, but all white and drawn with lines. This love I want to represent is hard, bitter. It hurts and is blind. I write rage, heart, looks, looks that kill, delivery, hand, lips, eyes, bandages, kisses.
Phase 2: Finalizing.
I've opened too many ideas, but it's time to go to the final one. I stay with her lips, kissing and especially the look and eyes. Love: kiss. Blind: look. But what about the idea that love hurts? Red is love but also pain and blood. Curious.
Phase 3: Experiments and color.
The kiss I have synthesized it with the color red, like a lipstick. In fact, I have used a lipstick to do the straight lines, it gives to me another level of expression. The kiss express love and hard lines tones transmit me pain. A kiss that hurts.
Final phase: The work.
I really liked how this project started, and I hope it continues that interesting. Here's the final piece:
As The Black Keys sing: Everybody knows that a broken heart is blind.
