Aquí podéis ver algunos detalles de la portada del llibret de la Falla Cotxera de Torrent del año 2019. Un año más que cuentan conmigo, después de las ediciones de 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017 y 2018.
He vuelto a inspirarme en el lema del monumento principal para crear la portada. Este año, el tema fue "Foc, Flama i Fum", o "Fuego, Llama y Humo", en castellano. Un tema tan genérico y a la vez tan importante en el mundo de las fallas.

Here you will find some details of the book cover I made for the Annual Book of Falla Cotxera de Torrent 2019. One more year, they trusted in my work, after the 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018 editions.
My inspiration was, as all the past years, on the main theme of the monument to design the cover. This year, the theme was "Fire, Flame & Smoke", a very principal idea so important for the Fallas of Valencia.
Un dato importante es que este año se cumplían 50 años de la formación de la Comisión. Y aunque ya se publicó otro libro conmemorativo para celebrarlo, sí que quise enseñar algunas estructuras reconocibles del barrio, como la gran chimenea que preside en centro de la plaza.
Se pensó como una portada bastante simple, como podemos ver en el tratamiento de la tipografía, pero también se añadieron los elementos que forman el lema de la falla: el fuego, la llama, y el humo.
Me gustó mucho como quedó la portada de 2018 en cuanto a acabado, así que intenté crear lo mismo, convirtiendo al fuego en una diosa de las fallas, que consume todo cada año.

This year the Association also celebrated its 50th anniversary. They published an amazing anniversary book as well, but I wanted to insert some well-knwon sculptures of their streets, like the tal and traditional smoke chimney.
Thought at first as a very simple cover (as we can see on the typography treatment) I wanted to add the elements of the main theme: the fire, the flame and the smoke.
I really liked the 2018 cover, and how I made it, so I've decided to create the same: I'd transform fire into a Goddess for the Fallas celebration.
