I was asked to make a poster for iAcademy Senior High School's Buwan ng Wika 2020.
The theme was "Konektadong Kamalayan sa Kasalukuyan".
Influenced and heavily inspired by Emiliana Kampilan's letterings on her book Dead Balagtas Tomo 1: Sayaw ng mga Dagat at Lupa (a must read!), I made a hybrid lettering of the theme, part script, part caligraphy, part painterly in style. I made a point in making the words "reach out" and connect to other words highlighting the "konektadong" (connected) part of the theme.
I used pencils for the draft and finished it up with black ink.

I scanned the resulting work, and turned it into vector.
Not quite satisfied with how it looked, I introduced some distortion.
I then used the final lettering to make this poster and other materials.

The poster wasn't really printed (there were no face-to-face classes), but here's a mockup of it anyway.
