ERG 77 Shirt Design and Typography
This was a shirt design I created for the 77th Year of the University of The Philippines - Engineering Radio Guild (UP ERG). Back in my short stay in college, where I was trying to get a degree in Computer Engineering, I was applying to join this organization. Unfortunately, I left that course to pursue a career in Graphic Design. Fortunately, I kept in touch with some people in ERG, and one of them requested I design a shirt for their 77th year.

I was trying to aim for a steampunked version of the organization's logo, which was an awesomely simple 'e' with a resistor (which can be seen here: www.up-erg.org).  I think that looks very far from being steampunk, but hey it still works, so I went ahead with it. I incorporated to it the organization's blue color, then used some Niagara, some ribbons and some FF DIN.
The very first idea I had for this shirt was some typography saying 'Dare to Resist' (the organization's logo featured a resistor, an electronic component). It turned out too fancy and from what I understood, a rival organization had a similar statement shirt (yikes); so I opted to create a different piece. Luckily, they've decided to use these for some materials later.
