In 2020 we designed a poster which doubled as an Augmented Reality marker to trigger the AR features in a companion App for showcasing startup and scale-up businesses in the South west of England. (Below and Above)

In 2021 we wanted to follow up with a new project showcasing Tech for Good businesses in Bristol, Bath and the Southwest surrounding videos.

The Rocketmakers design team started by creating a brand identity, see pages of the design story below:

We initially tried to roughly geographically plot all the Tech for Good South West organisations on a map sketch but it became difficult to read so we abandoned this approach, to focus on the website and circle back to the poster.

Our working Figma design document can be seen below, we fed back within the team with notes as we perfected the product as we went.

We designed specific custom components for our components library:

We then laid out our components and our brand assets into web page designs, mocking up the mapbox component we planned to plug in.

We originally planned to create a fold out map like below but decided to go with an A4 layout instead as more information was then always legible.
