Chosen Location - Walthamstow Wetlands
The location I have chosen to shoot for the fmp is Walthamstow Wetlands, It is an urban landscape with lots of man-made structures within natural land. I specialise in architecture and landscape photography and I feel that by exploring this area I would be able to progress and gain more understanding of the genres.
Information about Location:
- Nature reserve located near Central London
- Focused around Walthamstow reservoirs that were built in the 1853 and 1904 by the East London Waterworks Company
- It is part of the Lee Valley Reservoir chain
- The ten reservoirs provide drinking water for London
- The water there is a mix of raised and ground reservoirs
- The River Lea runs through the wetlands
- The creation of the reservoirs transformed the landscape of the rivers and the marshes
- It was redeveloped and opened to the public in 2017

Google Maps Street View:
As I am not able to go to the location because of the lockdown I decided to try and view the location on google street view. I wanted to try and plan the kind of shots I want before getting to the location. I was able to view the reservoir, the architecture, the River Lea and more. When I eventually get to go to the location I wanted to focus on the man-made structures and their uses.
