Grand Scheme bike hire unit

Working with a small development company in Newcastle and two guys with a fantastic vision of offering affordable bike hire schemes, I helped develop the hire unit for Grand Scheme bike rental in my spare time with the highly talented graphics wizard Harry Payne and a small product development agency in the north east .

The schemes are up and running in Oxford, Galway, Sunderland and Newcastle. Check it out here >

Qudos to Harry for making the digital experience of this gorgeous. Find him here > uk.linkedin.com/in/payneharry

Engineering prototype starter. My goal was simplifying this and crafting it so it felt bulletproof and highly reliable. This is the underlay I used to start creating sketches which was supplied by the initial development team. Felt a bit like an alien craft dashboard!
Development early graphics panel by Harry. We aimed to prioritise functions and make it simple to use. so we threw some ideas around, but this was his layout.
Final Design. Totally modular so it can be retrofitted to any bike without all the palava most rental schemes require. Tight, robust and honest.
Prototyped unit with ARRK.
