Colored bones
Self-initiated digital collage explorations

For the past two years I had not made a single digital collage. Being a magazine art director requires that I sit in front of my computer doing layouts, design, photo editing, and research for several hours a day. A fact that most of you can relate to. The last thing I wanted to do was to sit and make things in a computer at home. So I made a decision, and spent most of free my time working in my studio; away from a computer, only using paper, scissors, a knife, and glue. During this time, I created dozens of paper collages; some of which ended up in Art galleries, and published in a book. A couple of months ago I realized how long it had been since I made a collage in a computer, so I began to work on my mac with no plan, or specific idea in mind. These digital compositions are the result of being away from the medium for a long time, and returning with a new found love for killing pixels.
