This design acknowledges the significance of hospitality within Indian culture. Flexigon is to address the issue of isolated conversation and creates an environment that echoes the hospitableness of Indian culture. Comfort like friends and family within the household sitting on the floor eating, conversing and inviting guests to join in.
Low-rise structure and slight backrest emulates the comfort of sitting on the floor and breaking any sort of formal or social tension between all users. It’s modular design lets the user create various kinds of arrangements of seating: engaging the users creativity. The gold and red color scheme with the block print finish completes the design within a state of flux between contemporary yet cultural.
