surface conversations
Completed while working as Creative Communications Director for the University of Cincinnati, College of Design, Architecture, Art, and Planning, based on a poster design originally created by Oscar Fernandez. Surface Conversations was a 2-day architecture symposium, hosted by UC DAAP, aimed to bring contemporary construction issues to the surface for further investigation and discussion.
Deliverables included a mulit-page symposium program book, wayfinding signage, and environmental installations. The program book was constructed using a wire-o binding and translucent plastic cover, surface printed using digital offset. This allowed the title and support information to float above the surface of the background typographic texture.
Quotation bubbles were used as framing elements, containing images and setting typographic structure within the content.
Wayfinding guided visitors between the two venues, located across the UC campus from each other.
Installation graphics were further developed and installed by UC DAAP intern, Kiran Singh.
