Every year during Fresher's Week, around 13,000 new students are invited to a welcome talk that lays out University life and what they can expect. Since these gatherings are no longer possible in the current global pandemic, we created this film as an online way to welcome our students, and reassure them about the safety measures and world-class teaching on offer for them.

The film is introduced by the Vice Chancellor, and featuring student presenters giving a peer-to-peer introduction to new starters. This year's going to be tough for new students, so we wanted to offer a realistic but positive look at what the next few years are going to look like for them. It's then followed by a second video from the Students' Union, introducing their elected officers and all the facilities and support on offer to them this year.
