Wharf Square - Mobile App UI Design
High Fidelity Flats for Wharf Square Mobile App UI Design
Wharf Square is a fictional destination at Canary Wharf in London. The ideal user is a businessperson who will often frequent the area during short breaks, such as lunch hour or a coffee break from work. The goal is to design a UI for a mobile application that tells users where the busy spots are, and where they can expect to make timely transactions based on the number of orders and other customers present at that time.

The objective of this UI Design is twofold:

1. To tell whether the market is busy, and how long the queues would be.
2. To see offers and deals from vendors.

Walkthrough of Venue Searching Behaviour

1. User opens app, map is the default screen. Map pins for venues are populated on screen.
2. User can zoom into map, turn on a heatmap option to determine which areas are busiest, and click on venue icons.
3. An active venue icon brings up an extended card popup, with quick access to pertinent information about the venue, numbers of orders in queue and estimated wait time.
4. User can click on Daily Specials & Store Info to view a menu and basic store information such as operating hours, phone number, and website.
Iconography & Navigation
On the bottom navigation bar, there is a bell icon for alerts pertaining to orders ready for pick up, a highlighted compass icon for the map that we are viewing, a calendar icon to indicate upcoming events, and a person icon for a user’s profile.

Settings and other app options would be at the top left menu bar. Searching for venues on the map will be accomplished by using the magnifying glass icon at the top right of the screen.
