Brief: Make a business card from a playing card, blending 3D, vector and digital illustrations.

 

The columns with capitels are modeled in 3dstudio Max and rendered, and the back is a full vector illustration.

Animated .gif with progress below. I went through many revisions, starting with a first rough idea that was scrapped as I felt the poses lacked gesture and the whole thing wasn't dynamic enough. The next sketch was the final design.
