Redesign of Boxoffice Pro, a 100-year old film industry magazine dedicated to the movie theatre business.
Inspired by the rich graphic history of the publication, we modernised the look and feel throughout with a more visual approach to storytelling.
By introducing a flexible grid system and new typographic palette, we were able to improve the pace of the publication. New section markers were also introduced to break content down into recurring, regular sections.
The August issue focuses on the impact the COVID-19 virus has had on the cinema industry. This was encapsulated with a symbolic cover, which emphasised the plight of the industry.
