Flipping the script on flipping burgers
Apparently young employees are always late for work and can’t handle responsibility or manage money. That clearly isn’t the case at McDonald’s where they're entrusted with running day to day business.
In fact, most senior positions at McDonald’s HQ are held by people who once battled with the ice cream machine and 70% of Canada’s 85,000 employees are between the ages of 15 and 24.
It was time to show a little respect.
As difficult as it was shooting in the midst of a pandemic, we thought we'd make it just that much more sadistically challenging by shooting on 16mm.
It certainly helped emphasise the tactile, human story we wanted to convey:
