Enforma is a small-time family Business & Marketing Consultancy team with big dreams, and asked for some help with their branding and website re-design. The brief was pretty open: use existing branding and improve upon it, create a new website design on their Wix platform, and have some brand guidelines and start off documentation they could share with clients.
So I started off with website mock-ups, using their original website for content starters.
Using their brand colors I played around with layout while keeping it simple with recurring patterns. Rounded corners, focus on color, balance with imagery and keep the content straight to the point. In the end it was decided to use travel imagery they had gathered over the years so I tried incorporating those that still fit the balance of the design.
After more feedback sessions we ended up on the below as final design:
Instead of focusing on the brand's purple and red hues the final color scheme was dominated by the yellow color, complimented by sepia toned imagery.
The navigation was kept simple, with all links being anchors except for Blog; this was its own page. Each section was clearly separated using white space/full image and kept a consistent grid layout, using left borders to flow down the page.
Implementation
Once mockups were agreed it was time to create a new site on Wix and add in all the pieces. It had been a few years since I myself used Wix so it was nice to see the platform had evolved as much as it had.
Once all the sections and functionality was put into place the clients added their final content to the relevant sections. Once that was completed I went about designing the mobile view using the Wix editors. Testing the site for responsiveness was tricky and you had to make comprimises due to the platforms restrictions but I think in the end it went well enough.
Testing complete I then put all the necessary re-directs in place and optimised the SEO as much as possible, the clients were happy to do the rest themselves.
Other pieces
Once the site had been designed and styles had been put in place it was easier to create the documentation also requested. These were two pdf's that would be hosted on the website and sent to prospects showcasing their services.
