T-shirt Designs
Designed for screenprinting and transfers.
I've worked freelance graphic design and commercial art for the last 30 years. Some of these designs were created for screenprinting and others for custom transfers. All the cartoons were drawn in pencil, inked in and scanned for coloring in Photoshop or Illustrator.

Comics Corner Figure for t-shirt back. Created in Photoshop from several parts of comic book characters. The body was originally a Mr. Fixit HULK before he was slimmed down and his head replaced. The hat and coat came from Dick Tracy scans and warped to create a new effect. The coat was lengthened to look more like a cape and the hat made taller and with a wider brim to look like a fedora. Since it was created in layers the comic book could be changed and the face does exist behind it. The customer liked the character and the hidden face so much that he was named Mr. Mystery.
Comics Corner logo for left chest print. Created in Illustrator.
I made all of the boxes from one end panel texture I found on the internet, and added the raised frame and cross bars. Reshaded the wood texture several times so the boxes would look different. Added all the logos and warped them to fit the boxes. All combined in Photoshop from logo and label elements created in Illustrator. The packing cases turned out so well that I reused them in a couple of other t-shirt designs for the same company. They are all created in layers so the boxes can be moved around and restacked into different configurations. The labels can be replaced or turned off in the layers controls.
Left chest print. Several Ghost Rider type elements combined to create the head. The type elements were created in Illustrator and combined in Photoshop.
Health's Angels t-shirt back print created in Photoshop. The flaming A was created using an action downloaded from the internet. Several different elements were combined to get the rider figure. The type elements were created in Illustrator.
Photoshop combined elements. Photo background, tree and mountain silo graphic, rustic wood panel, logos from Illustrator, and free downloaded font and photoshop style for the type "Hunting For A Cure".
Photoshop combined elements in layers. Free fonts downloaded from the internet. Style setup in Photoshop for the type. Cartoons drawn in pencil, inked, and scanned into Photoshop for colorization. The wings have a glitter effect that doesn't show in reduced size, was made from a free downloaded Photoshop style.
Lean and Mean left chest print. Layed out in Illustrator, 3D effect created in Photoshop using layer styles.
Lean and Mean back print. Used the original left chest print logo and added the rabbit from a pencil sketch, inked and scanned in. The turtle is a combination of 2 different illustrations. All combined in layers in Photoshop.
Each scale character is a sketch, inked and scanned into Photoshop for layer composite and colorization. Each scale has been combined with a different face sketch, and props. The logo was created in Illustrator and exported as a PSD layered file. Layers had styles added in Photoshop.
Reused wood crate from another design. All the objects are downloaded photos from the internet. Text created in Illustrator and routed using a Photoshop layer style.
Redrawn in Illustrator in vector from a low resolution JPEG provided by customer. Exported from Illustrator as a layered PSD file. 3D effect created in Photoshop using free downloaded layer styles.
Combined in Photoshop from elements downloaded from the internet. Each figure was originally a Sally Fields or Burt Reynolds photo. The complete background is digitally painted from seperate elements. Logo made from an original Smokey and the Bandit logo and digitally altered in Photoshop. The "East Bound and Down" type was created using a revised Photoshop layer style.

Version 01 of the Untouchables t-shirt. The original use for the same basic character used later for the Comics Corner figure. This was created by morphing the figure of the Working Class character into a more human shaped figure. The hat, coat and the left arm are different than the Comics Corner figure.
Version 02 of the Untouchables. I made the floor and brick wall from internet downloaded textures. The packing crates are reused from another t-shirt design for the same company. The bullet holes are made from a free set of Photoshop brushes downloaded from the internet.
Photoshop composite from separate elements downloaded from the internet. The text and drips on the barrel are created using a free layer style downloaded from the internet. The "Toxic Waist" isn't a type-o, but for a company sponsored weight loss health team. Notice the tape measure on the characters belt. The group later decided that they wanted a left chest print of the characters head with the Toxic Waist type.
