The 167 Pendant is an exploration into modern CNC machining techniques and the unique properties of recycled PET felt. The pendant takes the form of a traditional spun industrial lampshade, yet juxtaposes the idea of Industrial 'Mass Production' and bulk waste. through it's material selection. The single sheet of 6mm PET felt is heat pressed over a machined mold to form a rigid, lightweight shade. The choice of material also displays other unique properties such as it's ability to defer heat, as well as soften the light.
