Ciro Meggiolaro (Padova, 1978), grew up in Pescara.
He moved to Rome in 1998, where he graduated in Communication Sciences with a thesis on the relationship between photography and literature in the USA 50’s.

He starts taking pictures in 1999, when he fell in love with an old reflex camera found in his father’s house.

After “Animadversione” (Museo delle Genti d’Abruzzo, Pescara, 2003), he showed his pictures in several personal and collective exhibition including FotoGrafia – Rome’s International Festival (“Nema Problema”, 2005; “Work in progress – Messicani”, 2007; “Day Return Ticket”, 2008).
“Eat.it” (curated by Francesca Referza – Palazzo De Sanctis, Castelbasso, Teramo, 2008), was his last exhibition. Till the next one.
In 2006 he won the PagineBianche d’Autore-Seat prize, art contest curated by Luca Beatrice with the opera “Verso”.

In the same year he starts collaborating - as photo assistant - with Allucinazione, a photo/video production company specialized in advertising photography.

In 2007 he worked for GraffitiPress photo agency and published his pictures in the most important italian newspapers (Corriere della Sera, Il Messaggero, Gazzetta dello Sport).

From 2009 he works with Altaroma in the two annual appointments of the Roman Fashion week.

He's a backstage/freelance photographer and works as still photographer for LABit Theatre Company and for NUOVE OFFICINE Laboratorio Babs.

Smiling, he takes his eyes around Rome, Pescara and the South of the world. Read Less
