This practice explores and defines the consequences of rapid change of scientific and technological developments in the ‘construction’ of the contemporary body, self and identity. Based on the idea of deconstruction, the visual language of this work refers to a post-apocalyptic, biomechanical world, combining characteristics of multicultural mythological aspects. Promoting a clear consciousness of the disastrous outcomes of the industrial and post-industrial world, it seeks to visualise the ‘fear of the future’,‘reflections from damaged life’ and the hybridity of ‘existence’ in this conceptual time and space.
