My name is Alexandra and I'm a 20 year old self taught photographer from France. I don't count anymore the years since I stopped school due to health issues, but being thirsty for knowledge, I always kept studying the world by myself, sitting anywhere and quietly watching how humanity acts and move with passion and a lot of curiosity, reading books and exploring around.

Since I started photography back in the early years of my teenage-hood, I appreciated to reveal through my photos everything naive and innocent. I loved to make magic with my camera and capture love, childhood, dreams and fragility. I was inspired by life in general, and by this strange sensation that I always had while watching the world from far away and staying quiet, waiting patiently my turn and using my eyes a lot more than my voice.

I was sitting on that bench and looking people running to don't miss the bus. I was standing against that wall, observing teenagers making fun of each others. I realized that it do not fit with what I have used to learn and see in my worlds. I felt sad, nostalgic too. Lonely, a camera as only friend, I gave myself the mission to prove to myself and others that love, innocence, softness and dreams are still there. An harmonic world between us and nature, where everyone care about each others and feel free to love.

Soon, I became a mother and I grew up for having another human experience to share. I realized the strength of images since it's through one of mine that I met my lover who lived on the other end of the planet. Capturing sweet moments was not enough to me anymore and my ambitions grew as I suddenly felt the urge to help for a better world, my humble camera as a witness and peaceful weapon. I aspire to visit other quiet people and events, wherever they may be, document them and help them to have a louder voice through my images. As a mother and in my photography, I work by following my instinct. And in 2013, it will be bringing my family and myself all around the world, mainly to document memories of others and the ones of our planet. Read Less
