An end of a journey always leads to a new beginning.
End is another start. We designed the key visual for HKU Master of Buddhist Studies 2019 graduation dinner and used the Vitarka mudra, also known as "Mudra of discussion", as the symbol. The hand gesture is referred to as discussion and transmission of Buddhist teaching, which is perfect for the occasion of showing gratitude to all teachers in the program.
In Buddhism, everything ceases eventually, but an end will always lead to a new beginning. We used a red line to divide a journey, but this fine line didn't define the essence of the journey itself. It can be an end or a start, depending on how we see it.
We also adapted the design into different mediums for a complete visual system in order to provide a comprehensive experience to all the teachers and attendees.
