The King's English Bookshop

King's English Bookshop | Logo Redesign
The King’s English Bookshop has been open since 1977, and while they have slightly expanded in size, not much has changed in its service and appearance. The small blue stucco building with its adjacent gas station turned children’s novel section looks historical and unchanged. Some of the interior and exterior environmental design reflects a historical English past. The King’s English Bookshop is living historical monument to it’s community, and it is reflected within my rebranding for the company. One of the oldest and most revered literary greats in English history is William Shakespeare. The term “the King’s English” was coined in 1958 by Shakespeare, as a definition for proper formal English. Tying these aspects together allowed me to design this logo, celebrating one of the greatest contributors to English literature.
