Concept: 

Poster promoting a production of Hedda Gabler. The main character is a manipulative woman who loses her mind in her struggles with an affair, her friends and a personally damaging manuscript. 

Design Process: Due to Hedda Gabler as being a spectacle is Psychological studies, I decided to incorporate elements of the rorschach test which represent her unpredictable and selfish personality. Hedda thinks highly of herself, so i decided to have her figure be in the forefront of the graphic making (within the negative space). Her character is considered to be a manipulative woman, and she is also under speculation to have a mental disorder such as schizophrenia. 

Her goal in life is to reach perfection, to have everything she has ever wanted, however the choices that she makes results in her untimely death. Those of which include an affair with two different men( rendered in the inkblot ), and the destruction of a manuscript that held a major impact on determining her fate.
