And The Moon And The Stars And The World

As an adventure in lateral thinking I decided to take a Charles Bukowski poem named, "And The Moon And The Stars And The World" and render it using three different styles of creative presentation.  The first is using the concept of rebuses much like you would see in a children's magazine such as Highlights or National Geographic Kids.  I draw out the pictures like clip art then transposed them on a drawn chalkboard.  I used actual chalk to write the solutions and used Photoshop to finish the composition of each rebus and chalkboard answer.
The next style was to create a storyboard much like one for an animatic or animation that would be created by the likes of Disney or Dreamworks.  It was suggested to focus the story on an outsider, so I developed the story around a blade of glass that is on the outside looking in... This is still the same poem, only this time... the poem is in the boxed off areas and the bracketed information is commentary or notes.
The last variation was the single piece whiteboard illustration.  The whole illustration is all encompassing and portrays the whole poem in its entirety including a caricature of Charles Bukowski himself yelling the poem with emotion.
