Techno, Electro, Drum ‘n’ Bass and beyond. Twidl is a record label and party with quality
underground dance music and visuals for fans.
Twidl is mind blowing and twisted. With this in mind we drew inspiration from the Op art movement.
This movement blew up in the 60’s and 70’s with its systematic structure, optical illusions and
graphic shapes that seem to move. The concept evolved into a black and white visual identity,
matching the raw beats from the twisted Twidl dance music.
For the album covers we invented a revolutionary approach. Many designers complain about the loss
of visual effect, because of small thumbnails on downloadsites. We saw this as an opportunity and
first developed two custom fonts. Then we designed the covers in such a way, that they are easy to
read when small. After zooming in, more detail appears. After purchasing the release all the details
are visible.
Posters that make your head spin.
To amplify the mindblowing effect, we put the posters together to form an unique wallpaper. The
shapes in the wallpaper seem to follow the groove off the techno.
