Logo design and branding for Afterglow Coffee Cooperative in Richmond, VA.

Afterglow approached me with a vision of blowing out a match, resembling the start of a new day. Other inspiration was drawn from the sunrise around Richmond’s James River, vintage psychedelia posters and neon lights to compliment the cafe’s historical brick interior and various tropical plants.

We landed on a custom-made type face for the logo that would flow with the cut-out shapes of smoke and flame.
