CSE Interactive Exhibit at GTEC 2013

CSEC
CSEC is the security/intelligence organization for Canada's own security and that of the global community.
The Government Technology Exhibition and Conference (GTEC) is an annual event aimed at promoting technology adoption and usage across the Government of Canada. It is attended by over 7000 participants,
speakers and exhibitors from across Canada and around the world annually.

Objectives:
CSEC wanted to be presented as the cyber security authority to GC stakeholders and convey useful and timely advice to them. To help position CSEC in this manner, they required an interactive presence (exhibit) at the GTEC to better engage IT stakeholders and decision makers to reinforce security best practices in an approachable and intriguing manner. Furthermore, CSEC wanted a mobile display experience that draws visitors to the CSEC booth, piques curiosity and maintains interest.

Target Audience:
CSEC is specifically aimed at government departments, premium placed on influencing the "decision makers":
• Senior-level decision makers
• IT managers
• Business line managers
• Practitioners

Challenge:
CSEC’s target audience will be bombarded with messages at the conference from various exhibitors. CSEC wants to ensure its messages stand out and by engaging the audience in two-way interactive participation, attendees will retain the knowledge and information CSEC is promoting.

Solution:
Delivered an interactive booth that offered recruitment information and educated/influenced GC customers
on IT security in a fun and engaging way.

Results:
CSEC’s presence at the GTEC conference exceeded that of previous years. Bold, colourful graphics with the addition of the interactive quiz-based app drew significant attention from the crowd.
