I decided to represent a “faceless” monster, or a expressionless monster because i didn’t wanted him to express nothing at all. Neither “good” or “bad”. His true essence lies within the eyes of the beholder.
He’s squatted over two skulls whom represent dead itself, witch in turn are surrounded by dancing headless minions. The minions represent Life. They are headless because they represent an Unconscious Life, a “natural” life and not a kind of life as we Human beings see or live. And they dance around death, celebrating death as death acknowledge their existence represented by the “third-eye”. Life and Death coexisting…
On his hands he as four objects. A branch, a sand clock and two triangles, one “aiming” up and the other one, aiming in the opposite direction.
The two triangles represent Existence dichotomy. The up and down, bad and good, beauty and ugliness, life and death, energy and matter… the Whole and Nothingness. They are existence itself.
The clock clearly represents times that exists in a dichotomic reality and that afects all things. The branches, represent nature. The fact that, in the end, everything in this reality makes part of nature itself. However, trees, or “nature” as we see it, knows how to be. Nature doesn’t have consciousnesses, it doesn’t think. It simply is. That’s why he is holding branches.
