Born in Aomori and brought up in Chiba, Japan. I stepped into the world of photography only by accident - my broken instant film camera costed to fix as much as the new camera - as a result, I decided to get a new one - my first SLR camera.

Since I grabbed my SLR camera for the first time, photography has always been in the centre of my brain more than anything else. I was turning 20 at that time and it was very natural to think of becoming a professional photographer.

I started my career as a sports photographer by chasing amateur sports. I have once thought of going to a college to study photography but in the end I decided to work as a studio assistant to widen up my fields and the knowledge of lighting skills. After years of training, I have made a contract with a Japanese publisher known as Bungeishunju as a professional photographer covering sports, portraits and still life. In 2011, I decided to move to the UK to turn freelance.

My current work concentrate on sports, studio portraiture and travel photography for the clients around the world. Read Less
