From personal experience, I believe that Art is a particular kind of energy that flows through the artist, who during the creative process acts as a medium. For this reason, I rarely think about what I’m going to paint or do preliminary sketches. I prefer to let the energy flow and allow the act of painting to be instinctive and often non-rational.

Empty space interests me even more than any brushstroke I might make. The energy is generated by the empty space, while the brushstroke reflects that tension and animates the work.

I tend to paint on paper. Watercolour is the technique best suited to my pictorial process, though occasionally I use other techniques.

After earning my degree in painting from the School of Fine Arts in Valencia in 1996, I moved to Barcelona to work in advertising as a creative director first at Vinizius Young & Rubicam and later at J.Walter Thompson. During that time I met my wife, Sadrak Zmork and my son, Simon, was born. In 2004 we decided to say goodbye to Barcelona and we moved to Madrid. There I also said goodbye to the world of offices and I began to work from home for TAG, a company from London, also related to advertising.
As of 2005 I shyly set out on an artistic journey, although not without a short layover as a freelance illustrator for advertising agencies and publishing companies. However, illustration was not for me and after a few years of poorly paid or unpaid work, I slowly but surely abandoned it.
In 2009, coinciding with my son Max's first birthday, my life suddenly turned upside-down and I was diagnosed with Parkinson's. From that moment on turbulence took over my life, culminating in 2014 when I decided to abandon the medication with the aim of allowing the illness to reach its peak and trying to discover the spiritual causes behind it. After an intense period of introspection I began to paint again, first without taking any medication, creating the series CICLOS (August, 2014-February, 2015).
