Graphic Artist / Art Coordinator

MAX Apparel is a distributor of embroidered and silk-screened garments and supplier of promotional products, mainly safety wear and custom hats.

Below are the job responsibilities:

- Match fabrics, threads, & PMS colors to keep colors and branding consistent between various products for our clients.

- Check all orders that come through to make sure that all art can be embroidered, screen-printed, etc. Sometimes, re-create artwork when need be.

- Set up all artwork in the proper format to be used in production.

- Follow up and follow through on orders and mock-ups to ensure customer satisfaction.

- Take projects from concept to creation when customers need artistic direction.

Graphic Design Coordinator

As an undergraduate student, I had the chance to work with the student-run marketing department under the UW-Stevens Point University Centers. From creating marketing materials to social media graphics for the on-campus groups and organizations under the University Centers umbrella, the clients were endless.

Job responsibilities included:
- Meet with clients to plan and coordinate various marketing plans and materials throughout the semester.

- Work with clients and other designers to build draft layouts and concepts based on a set marketing plan to present to the clients.

- Maintain consistency and adhere to the University branding guidelines.

- Prepare all finished materials and submit the correct file formats to the printer or vendor for final production.

Aside from design responsibilities, as a member of the marketing team, we focused heavily on teamwork and project management.

Universal Studios is one the leading companies in creating themed entertainment and parks all across the world with an enthusiastic creative team. Universal Creatives works to provide conceptual art and bring it to life all across the world, ranging from Orlando to Tokyo to even Beijing.

The part of Universal Creative I specifically worked with was under the Senior Graphics Fabricator, working with Environmental Graphics and Sign Design.

Job responsibilities include:

- Collaborate and work under the Senior Graphics Manager with major projects within the team.

- Responsible for handling necessary research into Chinese-English signage treatments for future design purposes.

- Create signage illustrations, keeping in mind of material, color specifications, and all other notes needed for production.

- Communicate with outside vendors for all production intents and purposes.

Daisho Con is one of the largest anime conventions located in the state of Wisconsin. I have been a staff member of this convention since 2013 and had the chance to volunteer to draft and design themed marketing materials for the 2016 convention year.

Job responsibilities included:

- Meet with the Convention Directors and Executive Staff to create themed concepts, bringing rough designs to finished products.

- Set up and maintain strict deadlines for printed media as well as set schedules for designated social media posts.

- Responsible for producing advertisements, banners, flyers, and other digital materials to promote the convention weekend.

- Complete miscellaneous design requests sent in by other staff members.
