The Design Factory Asia is BNP Paribas Wealth Management's incubator, designing innovative solutions for our clients and digital workforce. Co-creation is the philosophy driving the team, who work closely with clients, FinTechs, and industry partners to create the bank of tomorrow.

Being in the Digital Solution team in wealth management. The department is part of a CX program and business transformation. The key role and goal of the department is to drive innovation, formulate new processes and change the mindset of the bank.

As an R&D Lead I work with different business lines, product stakeholders, designers, UX directors and developers. I also bring in different POC (proof of concept) in to the bank, and introduce new technology or tools. My role also includes wearing the hat of a product owners, UI/UX designer and developer. Being LUMA trained, I also co-facilitate Design Thinking for various departments.

We are constantly looking for new innovations to help drive the business in the bank. Innovation which are in many forms, sometimes it is technology driven, sometimes it can be a new way of working or a new client experience.

I am with the wealth segment team in Citibank. We work hard to deliver the best wealth tools for our relationship managers and also great experiences for our wealth customers. One of the major projects that I work on is the Total Wealth Advisory, a tool that is much needed to increase the efficiency of our RMs to help them plan and manage the portfolios of their clients.

My responsibilities include rapid prototyping, bringing low fidelity prototypes to high fidelity prototypes, overseeing and building the frontend of the digital wealth products. I work with a team of three frontend developers to ensure the best quality product with wonderful experiences is delivered. We practice the agile methodology with continuous delivery and integration in the development cycle.

I work closely with the design team on prototyping UI, UX and interaction design. Besides coding, I also work with Sketch, Proto.io and Principle and other varieties of prototyping tools.
