Clemson University
Research Assistant
Thesis Project Work:
The thesis project involved development of a relationship between Design for Manufacturing/Assembly (DFMA) and Design for Disassembly (DFD) rules, and end-of-life recovery options and conditions. These relationships were incorporated into a computational tool. Further, the use of this tool was demonstrated by implementing on consumer products.
Client Project Work:
As a part of a work at CEDAR Lab, I worked with fellow researchers on a client project in order to develop design guidelines for attachment of various ballasts on different surface conditions. The scope of the project involved building a set up for conducting the tests sustaining the ballast load up to 1000 pounds. The tests were carried out for different surface combinations. A total of 900 tests were conducted to develop guidelines and draw conclusions about the attachments of ballasts on different locations and different surfaces.
