In 2005, in the middle of a long career as a classical musician, I finally gave in to my long love story with photography and with our planet. A LBIPP and EP Licentiate Landscape photographer, since then I travel our wonderful planet to portray it and share its beauty shooting Landscapes: in this era of monitors and internet, few things make me as happy as when I see my photographs printed big and add them to my Fine Art Prints collection. So far, I have been working mainly in the American South-West, Scotland, Ireland, Isle of Man, UK, Italy, France, Spain and Turkey. My work has been exhibited and published internationally, and is part of various private collections. With 20 years of University teaching on my back, I believe that teaching Workshops, both for small groups and individually, is the best way to share my passion and my enthusiasm for photography and for the Earth with like-minded people. When I am not in the field shooting or teaching, I enjoy working on assignment, shooting mostly architecture and people. Read Less

Passionate about the Earth and its beauty, through the photographic medium I aim to transfer on my images not just the reality of a landscape but the emotions that a place and a moment in time awaken in me, so that others can relive them just by looking at my prints. From the grand landscapes to the smaller details to the action of the forces of nature on man-made artefacts, wherever I find something that inspires me I stop. I then carefully study the scene in front of me, taking my time. Finally, I take out my camera and begin to take pictures. That’s what moves me, what I am constantly looking for.

I strongly believe that a photograph cannot express anything without an artistic vision to inspire it. However, even the strongest of visions cannot be expressed at all without the support of solid photographic technique. I enjoy every step of the photographic process, from capture to editing to creating and holding in my hands the final prints. I understand that today's photographs live mostly on screens and videos, sadly. However, it is only when I see the prints in front of me, looking like paintings on their heavy, slightly textured, crisp sheets of beautiful photographic paper and filled with strong, intense, powerful images that I know I have succeeded in recreating the emotions I have been after.
