Welcome to Make My Logo Move, a series of motion design streams where we animate logos from the audience! Our goal is to get to 52, a whole year of logo animations. I'm mostly interested in logos that might never get a motion treatment. We could animate classic logos, or pieces for big brands, but they don't need our help, and enough people have touched those logos. So if you have a logo, maybe it's for you, maybe your uncle's etsy store, or your mom's mechanic shop, send it to me and I'll animate on the show!

Today's logo comes from Gareth Hanks who has organized a challenge for the creative community. The #5SummerThings challenge is meant to nudge folks out of a creative rut and get them creating this summer. Folks who participate simply need to make a post on social media with artwork, animation, or illustration of the things that they imagine when they think of summer. There will be a showcase in August, and one lucky winner will get a year of Creative Cloud.

He's sent along a lovely circular logo for us to use today on stream as we explore some things of summer, and what to do when a logo is perhaps more rigid than we might want.
