Lara Rodríguez Cruz (Spain, 1985) graduated from the EICTV, in Cuba [2010-2013], she also has received official training courses on Avid Media Composer, Final Cut Pro and After Effects.

Her works as a director now include music videos, commercial campaigns, and documentary and fiction pieces, like the Installation Brain Drain (or Are Spanish People Taking over the World) featured in Werkleitz 2015.
Since 2007 she works in editing and post-production for fiction, documentaries, as well as for the advertising and music video industry, in Spain, Germany and the US.
Amongst her achievements in the field, "Afuera" by Laurentia Genske (DokLeipizig 2015), “Marea (Tides)” by Adam Breier (Hungary), in the Festival del Nuevo Cine Latinoamericano (Havana, Cuba), Festival de Cine de Guadalajara (Mexico), Aspen Short Film Festival, and OutFest Los Angeles, amongst others;
“La Gran Aventura (The Great Adventure)” by Cassandra Oliveira (Brazil) in Visions du Réel (Switzerland), and Los Angeles Short Film Festival 2014.
Her latest works as an editor include Vreme by Dragana Jovanovic, and Las Lentejas y El Destino, by Miguel Müller-Frank (in post production).

Lara speaks Cinema fluently. She started out as a translator in Madrid, where she decided to focus on the languages she knew the most, Audiovisual and Narrative, and moved to Montreal, Boston, Cologne and Los Angeles to make it easier for everyone to understand, everywhere. Read Less

She recently finished editing the documentary feature “Afuera (Outside)” by Laurentia Genske (Germany), and “Yossarian at St. Pancrass” the live music show she directed for the release of the British-Argentinian latest album; she also shot, directed and edited the video-dance piece “One Slow Fire” which was selected by the Gerhart Hauptmann Theater (Germany) to open their newest season, and will be featured in the Zukunftvision Arts Festival 2014 (Germany).
Her works as a director now include the short film A Medias, Halfways, filmed in Cuba in 2013, and Brain Drain, which started as a film and expanded into an installation.
A film enthusiast, she collaborates with Bajocero Producciones, and she is currently involved in the Toytool Comitée, and the development of a feature science fiction queer love story, as a director.
She is currently involved in the post-production of Hunters and Gatherers (documentary), by Florian Kunert. Read Less
