I started freelancing as Robert McGath Design (RMD), it's a business model seeking to push the concepts of design & use a percentage of profits to help the community. RMD does it all when it comes to the creation of Print and Digital Publications. Named after the founder, Robert McGath is an Entrepreneur Graphic and Web designer that graduated with a BFA in late 2016.

I have published my own books, a quarterly magazine, branding, custom typography, and created games for Android and IOS apps (just to name a few). While the short term goal for this company is to make money to pay the bills, the long term vision is to become a cornerstone in the design community that advocates for the client on good design practices. A member of A.I.G.A. since 2013, I am client focused. While remembering my blue collar roots, I am also interested in making it possible for people of all walks of life to find help in the time of need. You can contact RMD at Robert.McGath@gmail.com or by visiting one of my websites

Moreover, I graduated on the Dean’s list (16 points from a 4.0) with a Bachelors of Fine Arts, from the Art Institute of San Antonio. I feel a strong pull to this profession, this is where I live - I love design and everything it encompasses. My resolve to produce inspiring, stunning deliverables for my clients has served me well, and I look forward to share this skillset with others.
I tend to take on projects that are challenging and therefore satisfying, but also enriching. Design is my life, and I think you’ll see that within my work. Solving the challenges design presents, and working individually or with team members to tackle them is something I enjoy greatly. I feel the design process works best when I create something on my own then collaborate with others to improve it. As an artist with a strong sense of aesthetic, typography, semiotics, and layout, design is what I enjoy most, it is my happy space.
Throughout my course of study, I have been sought out by clients through referrals. I have also acquired employment within the industry with my degree. Each client presented a different problem, in which I provided different solutions that elevated their brands, and kept the clients satisfied. Some of the work for them, you’ll see in my portfolio.
The first job I had working in the industry was as an intern for ECS•20. It is a state agency making new curriculum for schools that followed the new laws handed down from lawmakers in Texas. I learned there the power of teamwork, communication, and most importantly time management. My goal every time is to further the brands I am tasked to work on and have clients coming back for other projects. Design Starts Here, budget and design goals.
