The passion for our cultural heritage and my studies at the Institute for Ethnology were the starting point in my art career. As I was focusing more and more on the old traditional skill of Filigree together with my demanding creativity, I contributed for preserving a dying craft while implementing contemporary design.
The Experimentation factor is crucial for my work. I often let the Silver guide me in my creations; I trust its movement and its abilities. Most times I start with one indistinct thought… I stop to think how the material itself can be presented at its best light and how will it counter with the idea I’m developing. I listen. Following the fine silver thread I seek for innovation in forms and styles and in my most inspiring moments – I feel irresistible passion for developing new categories of jewelry, new ways to admire the human body.
The constant development of Myself as an artist, corresponding with the technique and the material, now releases new dimensions and expands my work further then jewelry in its traditional meaning. I’m now in a creation faze where to the silver filigree I give more power increasing its use to a level of an art piece with a new approach. Read Less
