Marc Hedges personifies “Southern charm at its best” having grown up in South Carolina and subsequently receiving a degree in Graphic Design from Ringling College of Art & Design in Sarasota, Florida (1991). He began his design career in Maryland and then moved to Georgia where he worked in magazine publishing. In 1996 he moved to San Diego and has continued to pursue his passion for art and design that began when he was just able to hold a crayon.

As a creative professional, his work experience is ever evolving; designer, fine artist, entrepreneur, operations manager, creative executive - Marc has successfully worn all the hats. Clients have ranged from new business startups to established entities requiring new design and communication strategies. He has produced brand identities, corporate communications, websites, email marketing and advertising campaigns, and event promotions within a variety of industries including; healthcare technologies, hospitality and entertainment, and not-for-profits. Clients include; The American Academy of Pediatrics California Chapter Three, Arena Pharmaceuticals, PatientSafe Solutions, Reality Check Systems, ProEst Estimating Software, The Honest Kitchen, Ruffner’s Cuisine, UC San Diego Visual Arts, Museum of Photographic Arts, and the Los Angeles Foundation on Aging.

His approach to work includes honest and clear communication with a good sense of humor. Marc believes collaboration, at all levels, is key to providing the best possible outcome for any creative endeavor. By actively partnering with the client, to better understand its business and mission, a successful strategy is developed. The process is the same, whether it’s for a traditional printed brochure or cutting edge app technology, Marc brings well-crafted, brand-focused solutions founded in time-tested experience, consistency, and creativity.

Marc continues to grow with the industry and its game-changing advancements. He is an avid reader on all things design and he serves on the advisor board for the Digital Arts Center at UC San Diego Extensions where he participates in class critiques and mentors students. His work has been showcased in numerous industry publications including HOW Magazine, Create Magazine, Logo Lounge Book 7, and David E. Carter’s Big Book of Logos and Global Corporate Identities. He has also been honored by the AIGA Las Vegas and Summit International Creative Awards. In 2011, his poster for the Haiti Poster Project was selected for a international exhibition initialed ‘Graphic Intervention’ featuring 153 posters from 44 countries that focuses on socially, economically and/or politically engaged poster work.
