I worked as a photojournalist in Southern Africa, specialising in producing educational materials for governments and NGO's, including USAID, CAFOD and Christian Aid; Commissioned by the World Health Organisation and Food and Agricultural Organisation as a media consultant. During the 1980's I worked in community education in Handsworth, motivating different community groups to produce images for themselves. This resulted in a number of international touring exhibitions. I have exhibited widely and have organised and run an exhibition stand at Focus-on-Imaging (NEC), on an annual basis for the last 10 years . Currently I am involved in documenting the Birmingham cityscape, with reference to cultural identity. I completed an M.A. in Photographic Studies at the University of Derby in 1991. Read Less
