I am Koen and I'm an animator, a 2D and 3D artist and I love game design. What more to tell? My current obsession is gamedesign but that hasn't always been that way. About six years ago I was planning a live as a scientist. That all changed when I found out I was creative and started drawing daily. My grades dropped and my teachers and parents were afraid I would fail every course. Eventually I studied for about a week, hardcore and ace'd all my courses. I went on to join artschool Minerva in Groningen which I loved! I learned so much there, both technically and personally. I learned to make choises and to stand up for them. After one and a half years I chose to leave Minerva because of lack of digital media lessons, it was hard to leave the place where I learned so much, but it's not a choise I regret. I didn't do anything but judo, MMA and karate for half a year and then joined the NHL in leeuwarden to study Communication and Digital Media Design, where I discovered Game Design and met some great friends that inspired and pushed me to work hard and be the best of the best. For two years I worked together with Niels and Jozef and for two years all our projects were a succes. We worked so hard and learned so much in two years. Three years ago I could never have expected to be who I am today. I am about to go into my last year, so I need to find a place to do my internship and a subject and place to do my graduation.
I hope like my portfolio, I am allways open to feedback and any kind of job opportunity.
