I've always been a really restless and very creative child, always bugging my parents asking the reasons of things being the way they are, questioning how they work. Fortunately I´ve grown up, graduated and got jobs precisely because of these questions. I acquired my Industrial Design bachelor’s degree at Fundação Armando Álvares Penteado (São Paulo, Brazil) where I learned the foundation of design to project human-centered products and experiences. But I felt that there were more questions to be asked. Therefore I came to San Francisco to pursue California College of the Arts’ MBA in Design Strategy program, hoping to get my questions answered by the business driven knowledge and skill set that only design can provide.

I’ve always worked in creative and innovative environments, where I learned to deal with engineers, marketers, managers and the brilliant minds of kids from less fortunate communities in my hometown. My professional experience have shown me that designers’ role and impact can go way beyond than just putting some “make-up” into products so they look beautiful. It has shown me that design methods can be holistically applied to any problem: organizational structure, factory floors, supply-chain management, business models, and customer interaction.
